do you know who you are?

when somebody asks you who are you?
you'll say your name, then your age, your profession/job
you'll say your school & where you hail from
you'll say who your father is, your mother is, your siblings
then you'll say who your friend is, the most popular or high profile should be the first
then you'll say what your achievement is & what's your SSS#, your PRC#, your GSIS#, etc.

is that enough to know yourself?

but what if your given name is differ from that of your name today?
what if you have different parents now?
what if you have different friends?
what if you don't have achievements & don't have sss#, prc#, gsis#, etc.?

does it mean that you don't have an identity?
does it mean that you are nothing?
does it mean that you also changed?
is your identity depends on your achievements or your government issued cards?
or the persons known to us?

most of us assumes that they know themselves well.
but that truth is nobody knows who we really are.
likewise to strangers, your parents, friends and the persons beside you.
our traits, our characters, our capacities may change every time.

we can never know and never tell who we really are.

if you know yourself...
do you know how to react on a strange situation?
if you know yourself...
can you satisfy your happiness?
if you know yourself...
do you know where you heading?
if you know yourself...
do you know how to overcome your boredom
if you know yourself...
do you know what you really want?

we don't know who we are is the same thing as we don't know what we really want.

we think we know ourselves and aim for something we want
but when we have our wants we then again not satisfy with these
we think we know ourselves and go to some places we want
but when we get there, why is it that you ask: this is not what i'm looking
we think we know ourselves and you strive to fulfill your ambition
but when you become a successful one, there's another ambition to fulfill

the only thing certain is: we only know what we really don't want

you don't want to become poor that's why you're working
but it does not mean you'll become rich
you don't want to be lonely that's why you're with your friends
but it does not mean you are indeed happy
you don't want boredom that's why you're watching movies
but it does not mean that you ease your boredom completely
you don't want noise that's why you're alone in your room
but it does not mean you enjoy the silence forever
you don't want to disappoint your loved ones
but no matter what you do it somehow disappoints them.

reality bites.

now, i ask you: do you really know who you are?

life is happy :-) life is sad :-(

life is simple...
happy is what you feel when your childhood crush smile back at you
>>>he treated you well & wishes that time freezes when he's with you
but sad is what you feel when you greeted someone but nobody bothers &
>>>it seems that they doesn't see you.

life is heeding...
happy is what you feel when someone gives you importance & presents
>>>a moment that lingered & remembered all the time all your life
but sad is what you feel when nobody cares for your presence
>>>even your trusted friend no longer be found, no longer in sight

life is challenging...
happy is what you feel when you pass on every trials & every test
>>>you feel relief unknowingly there's more to be done
but life is sad when you fail & defeated, 'though you give your best,
your blood, your tears, these aren't enough to achieve the needs

life is unfair...
happy is what you feel when you have the luxury to dine in a restaurant
>>>you can order & eat whatever on your mind
but life is sad when you see someone asking for an alms
>>>to feed his kids & family who's faraway behind

life is survival...
happy is what you feel when you & your family feels well & healthy
>>>you can smile all day without nothing to worry
but life is sad when your loved ones is in sick
>>>there was nothing you can do, 'though you see them in a state of weak

life is free...
happy is what you feel when you have the democracy
>>>a joyous feeling without nothing to worry
but it is sad when your freedom suppressed & you're behind bar
>>>it adds more grieving when you know you're not guilty of any crime

life is hope...
happy is what you feel when you see a crying newborn child
>>>as you also see the hopes lying in their eyes
but life is sad when someone you know may soon be gone & die
>>>all you feel is just sorrow & grief and all your smiles has cease to exist

life is playful...
happy is what you feel when you see kids playing in the streets
>>>riding a bike or running along with their dad
but it feels sad when you see a child begging despite of heat
>>>wandering with a baby, wondering what would be his destiny

Life is happy, life is sad
not all who smiles are happy and not all who are happy is smiling
not all who cries are sad and not all who are sad is crying
the happiness you feel today is can be commensurate by sorrow tomorrow

smile can be your best friend but likewise to your tears
a sun may shine on dawn but it will soon sets on afternoon
the love you feel today may become hatred tomorrow
whether you feel happy whether you feel sad it will you surely reach its limit
everything must come to an end

it is sad that someone's happiness become more expensive,
like a commodity, or a material thing that needed to buy
you sometimes wonder on your every single day,
you seldom asked what would be next, you always think of your family's future
life is short. cheer-up. i'm also asking the same question.

time is gold and so is life.
don't be a slave of your time, of your company, of your salary, of your money.
your family needs your time too. yes, life is sad but it is more sad if it's too late. neglecting leads to regretting and nobody can turn back the hands of time.
find time to spend this wisely. a child of today may become an adult tomorrow.
you can play with your kids today but you can not do it for tomorrow.

life is no contentment.
a good boxer aims to be the greatest boxer, a millionaire desperate to become a multimillionaire, an average beauty wishes to become a goddess of beauty.
try to be happy with what you have, you can never have & get it all, never. ever.

you can never make all the needy to be happy
but you can make your own family smile,
a glass of coke with your kids means a tons of happiness to them
a consistent simple dinner with your family unwittingly very special to them.

Life is deceiving. be aware.
the true essentials can not be bought, the true happiness lies in your heart.
maybe the happiness you are looking is just around us.
you can never be an angel but you can refrain to become an evil.

pulis, pulitiko at abogado

300. kung idadagdag mo pa yung idudulog mong kaso, sa tingin mo ba mapag-aaralan at madedepensahan ka ng maiigi...sana nga? fyi, almost 800 cases ang inilalapit sa PAO sa bawat buwan! on the contrary, the attorneys at PAO should be commended pero iilan lang ba sila? the others are just around waiting for you & your fees.

sana lang 'wag akong ma-issuehan ng subpoena kung sakaling mabasa ng mga concerned ang blog ko na 'to, hindi ko intensyon makipag-away o makapanakit ng damdamin nila. wish ko rin na sana magbago na sila hangga't pwede pa and i just exercising my freedom of speech as per Article 3, Section 4 of the Philippine Constitution.

pwede pa ba kong maging abogado? pangarap ko rin kasi yan nung bata pa ako. peace man.
♥.

Questions of greatness

Is the greatness of one person measured by...
his educations?
his knowledge he acquired?
his achievements in life?
his preaches & teachings?
his being a good speaker?
his camaraderie & being friendly?
his being a perfectionist?
his being hardworking?
his savings & his wealth?
his status in society?
of his help to to the people?
his legacy that he'll leave?
his dedication to his preferred job?
his expertise on laws?
his expertise on bible?
his survival capabilities?
his leadership?
the number of countries he conquered?
the number of battles he won?
the number of laws he passed and signed?
the number of friends he have?
the number of lives you saved?
the number of jobs he created?
the respect given to him?
the prestige & honor he gave to the country?
his love for his country?
his popularity and being famous?
his attitude towards his family? or the other people?

if by chance we don't possess such qualities... then therefore we have lived and we will leave this life without greatness?

>>>>>5. low tech military firearms & weather equipment
>>>>>6. emergency response facilities, equipment & personnels
>>>>>7. uncontrollable bandits & rebels
>>>>>8. high rising petty crimes due to poverty

what we all live for

what we live for is a very complex question that can not be answer directly by one simple sentence but i rather share this thoughts to you for you to answer on your own little way and understanding.

upon our birth, we are all showered by caring, concerns, hugs, caress, kisses, love not only by our parents but also the people who are near to us. we were innocent then, an angel in their eyes, sinless, cute and full of hope. this angel sinless baby will soon stand & walk alone to struggle & fight the challenge of destiny. challenges that make us weak or strong, fail or succeed, put us in sadness or happiness, become worthless or responsible, bashful or arrogant, humble or proud, poor or rich…

we were sent to school by our parents to be educated and eventually find a good job when we grew up.during our elementary days we wake up at around 6AM ask for “baon” to our parents and go home around 12PM. its a routine for about 6 or 7 years. we study, we learn, we forgot, we cheat, we get caught, we lied. we disobey, we promise but we failed again. everybody did those. who else didn’t? we are mold to be a good student and good child at the same time and of course, we do try. but we are young enough to follow the do’s & dont’s rules by our parents, our teachers and our oldies. on this stage that we all should enjoy the happiest stage in our life: the childhood. a child who is clueless what a problem is, a child who has a right to play, laugh, cared, study, pampered, loved. while we are inside the school studying our parent/s are working spending & wasting 8-10 hours of their lives everyday and at nighttime when they arrived they are dead tired & spend less (quality?) time with their kids.

they need to work, work hard for the money, they work like a fading horse to earn a living, to feed the family, to pay the bills, to live a decent life, to go on with life. and we as a child strive to study different kind of subjects. subjects that until now, i still can not comprehend if how we can it use on our daily lives.

almost the same things happen when we reached high school we rush in the morning to our first subject & go home in the afternoon or evening, again…dead tired. in high school we’re not only learn the academics we also started to learn how to develop friendship, we started to learn how to drink, how to smoke, how to cut class, maybe some are not but most of us do. we started to take a peek of what life would be. we started to have problems & sometimes we take it seriously. problems in studies, love life, family, friends, temptations, life itself, financial, etc.

if sometimes financial problem worsens others may not continue college or stop in the middle of their studies. they were force to work, to earn, to continue life.

life is beautiful. no doubt about it but they say life is what you make it. you can make your life beautiful but you can make the worst of it. sometimes its hard to imagine that somebody’s garbage is a treasure for others, sometimes its hard to accept that somebody’ wasting food while others died and killed for it. sometimes its hard to ignore that some have the luxury of life while others died because of poverty, no food, no medicine, no friends, no wealth. what is the difference between the man who steals your money & the politicians who steals money from our taxes? life is what you make it…are the beggars in the street chose their life? are the prostitutes chose what they have become when they have enough money to feed her family? are the shoplifters still steal milk when she has money to buy milk for her kids? are the holdupper still coerce someone for money when he has money to buy medicines for his sick daughter? are corrupt practices really addictive? are we really a congenital sinner? are we all hungry for power? yes, life is what you make it but whether you like it or not life isn’t always fair.

life becomes more complicated when we reach college. you can’t be a happy go lucky guy when life seems turn serious here. subjects become harder, professors are more strict, tuition should worth every penny, temptations in many forms are coming, pressure is on us, expectations are very high, while we don’t even know what the solutions would be adding insult to injury is sometimes they’ll come simultaneously. an acid test for the youngster to become mature, innocent to become intelligent, weak to become stronger, clumsy to become skillful. sometimes your future lies on your hand, this test can turn you into someone invincible or someone conquerable.

in life there is always two choices, no in-betweens, you either: fail or succeed, finish the job well or leave things undone, decide to yes or no, move forward or backward, go up or down.

in totality, we spend an average of 4,600 days inside the classroom or an average of 15 long years. is the 15 years inside the school enough to find us a decent job? is it enough to feed our family for a lifetime? is it enough to buy our wants & our needs? may be or may be not. the success of others can not be your success or vice versa, the treasure that others found can be hidden from your eyes forever, the blessings you receive may be different from others. despite the dedication towards something, the determination to succeed, the confidence to go on, the effort you show, the knowledge you give, the skills you apply, still you can not achieve your goal. how can we go up if the situation pull us down? how can we move forward if somebody tied us up?

didn’t you notice that the more we become mature the less time we spend to our family? it is because we have to study the meaning of life and learned from it to eventually work on your own for the sake of the family, but when we are old enough to work and it’s time to spend the remaining hours of our life to our kids…they’re not kids anymore & they all have family of their own. the cycle repeats.

isn’t it ironic that a caregiver in england can’t give her personal care to her family? isn’t it ironic that a carpenter can build hundred houses while he himself didn’t have one? isn’t it ironic that a DH in hongkong clean other’s home while her own home is the one needed to be clean? isn’t it ironic that a nanny abroad cared & nursed other children while her own children here needed to be nurse? isn’t it funny that all of them serves other country while our country is the one needed an aid? that’s life. we have to accept it.

our life here is surely different from the “other life” we expected. we all have disappointments, failed hopes, frustrations, broken dreams, miseries & tragedies in this life. once in our life, we sometimes experience sorrow, anger, hatred, jealousy, envy, grief & regrets but at the end of the day we should be old enough to handle these situations. we should not do things beyond our limitations ‘coz it might be the things we will be regretting after we served our life.

set aside the spiritual side of our life, the responsibility & respect to others and the commitment to our creator. the reason why we pursue our dreams, why we struggle the obstacles, why we defeat our enemy, why we find solutions to every problem, why we want our children to have a bright future, why we survive in everyday’s life, why we keep on dreaming, why we stand-up everytime we fall, why we wake-up in every morning, why we still have smile on our faces, is . . . . . . . . . . .

who is she? (inspired by she's always a woman)

she can steal with a smile, with a proud in her eyes
she can ruined our fate with everyday lies
and she only reveals what she wants you to see
she hides all her wealth but she’s always a woman who greed
she can lead you to hell, she can take you or sue you,
we ask for the truth but she’ll always deceive you,
and she’ll take what you give her as long as it’s free
Yeah she steals and she’s a thief but she’s always a woman who greed
Oh, she takes care of herself, she can fool you if she wants,
She’s ahead of her crime.
Oh, and she never gives up and she wants to stay in
She’s just out of her mind.
And she’ll promise us more than the garden of Eden
then she’ll carelessly shut you and laugh while we are bleeding,
But she brings out the best and the worst you can be.

Blame it all on herself cause she’s always a woman who greed
Oh, she takes care of herself, she can fool if she wants,
She’s ahead of her crime.
Oh, and she never gives up and she wants to stay in
She’s just out of her mind.
She is frequently blind and she’s eternally cruel,
She can rob as she pleases, we’re sure she’s a fool,
But she can’t be convicted, she learned how to cheat
And the most she will do is throw the muddles at you
But she’s always a woman who greed.
